The game saw Peosta jump out to a lead, then be held scoreless, while Asbury worked its way back into the game and finally make a comeback of its own.
Peosta got on the board first with a run in its first inning. Cody Reimer doubled to left, and scored on Ryan Lehmann's single to center.
Asbury answered in the second. Nick Saboe doubled to left and stole third. Nick Hoffman walked. When Hoffman tried to steal second, Peosta tried to pickoff Saboe leaning off third, but the throw went into left field, allowing him to tie the game.
Peosta took temporary control of the game with four runs in the bottom of the second. Maas, Austin Meeker and Tyler Kane all walked. Maas and Meeker scored on Reimer's second double of the night. Kane scored on Adam Hoeger's single, while Reimer made it a 5-1 game on an infield error.

Asbury made it 5-4 in the fifth. With two outs, Jimmy Collins singled, Matt Sabers was hit by a pitch and Saboe singled to load the bases. Collins and Sabers scored when Hoffman reached on an error.
With the seventh inning being its last chance, Asbury did more than tie the game. Collins led off with a walk and Sabers reached on a fielder's choice. Hoffman's single scored Collins and put Sabers on third. Sabers gave Asbury a 6-5 lead by scoring on a passed ball.
Peosta tied the game in the bottom of the inning. Hoeger walked, Tuttle singled and Brendan McCoy was hit by a pitch to load the bases. Hoeger scored when Maas walked.
In the eighth, Joe Webber led off with a walk and later scored on a ground-out to give Asbury a 7-6 lead.
Peosta answered when Reimer reached on a fielder's choice with two outs. Hoeger doubled to right with Reimer flying around the bases and scoring from first to tie the game again. Asbury went scoreless in the ninth.
Tuttle led off the Peosta ninth by reaching on an error. McCoy's sacrifice moved Tuttle to second. Maas hit the single that gave Peosta the championship.
