Hawks top Blazers
In their final WaMaC games of the regular season, Beckman's softball team dropped both sides of a doubleheader at Manchester to the West Delaware Hawks, 8-0 and 6-1, in softball action on July 6.

In the first game, Ally Noethe was the only Blazer to tap the Hawks for a hit. Three Hawk pitchers combined for the one-hit gem: Jenna Hermsen, who got the save, Sarah Gonner and Laurynn Lammers.

Lauren Fitzgerald threw for the Blazers, giving up 14 hits, four of those to McKenzie Harbaugh, and a grand slam to Hermsen in a five-run fifth inning.

In the second game, the Blazers got a little more action out of their bats. Claire Willenbring tagged a triple, and scored. Fitzgerald, Kelley Funke and Amie Conrad all got hits.

Abbie Fitzgerald took the loss, giving up 10 hits and fanning four. The losses put the Blazers at 5-16 in the WaMaC East, 15-25 overall.
