Evers hits ace
Steve Evers garnered his second career hole-in-one on July 15 at the Dyersville Golf & Country Club. He aced the first hole, from 162 yards, with a 7-iron.

"The ball bounced twice and rolled toward the hole," said Evers. "The pin was in shadow, so the ball looked to have disappeared, but it took 'til we got to the green to confirm it."

Evers was playing with Fred Benn, Bill Engler and Dan Fitzgerald.

His other ace was also at the Dyersville Golf & Country Club layout, on hole three, a couple years ago.
