Highway 20 crossing a safety nightmare
From Mike Vaske
Richmond, Texas
Over the years I have visited my mother in Dyersville. The Highway 20 intersection, on the west side of town, is a safety nightmare.

Traffic proceeding westward and exiting Highway 20 masks traffic behind it. Once again, I was stopped at the stop sign waiting for traffic to clear recently. There were three cars exiting the highway and I did not notice other vehicles.

To be safe, I waited, and was surprised to see a box truck appear in my view. I believe this type of occurrence is what is causing people to have to make decisions once they are in the intersection, which can cause tragic accidents.
