GOP candidate will enter county race
Asbury City Councilman Curt Kiessling is entering the Dubuque County Supervisor's race as a Republican candidate.

A special Dubuque County Republican Convention is scheduled for Monday, Aug. 9, following the regularly scheduled Republican Central Committee meeting (at approximately 7:45 p.m.) at Republican Headquarters on Dodge Street, in Dubuque. Delegates will vote on placing Kiessling as an official Republican candidate on the ballot for Dubuque County Supervisor.

Kiessling is a finishing carpenter and owns his own carpentry business. He is a veteran, having spent six years in the Marine Corps, four years active duty. He attended the University of North Carolina and Washington College in Maryland. He is also a certified Addiction Counselor and has worked in homeless shelters in New York. He has been a resident of Dubuque County since 1993 and has been living in Asbury for 10 years.
