On a recent chilly afternoon in Dyersville, we were on a holiday drive and made one of our first stops at the Field of Dreams.

It was very quiet as we drove in, but we were excited to arrive again. There was a light blanket of snow, but it was very inviting. We were the only visitors, and we smiled of many memories ballfield.

My wife, Chris, stayed around home plate, but our Alaska Husky Avu and I had a brisk walk around the outfield. Avu always kept an eye on us.

Then it was time to get back to the car, for some warmth. But no need, it seems that a walk on the field always brightens the day, and also some more memories going back some 25 years.

We are looking to our next visit, and the friendly folks all around.
