In Saturday play at the North Fayette Valley Tournament, the Beckman softball team won both games, topping Kee High, 10-3, and the host school 9-4.

In the Kee game, the Blazers used a major inning, scoring nine runs in the fourth, to take control after trailing 2-1.

Kiersten Schmitt went 2-for-3, with a home run, scoring two runs. Shea Steffen was also 2-for-3 with two RBIs and a double. Jadyn Welling was 1-for-2 with two RBIs, Emily Wulfekuhle 1-for-2 with two RBIs and Lauren Osterhaus 1-for-4 with two RBIs. Sydney Steffen drew three walks and won the game from the circle, fanning three, giving up two earned runs.

Against NFV, the Blazers held a slim 4-3 lead after the first inning. Both teams scored a run in the third and then the Blazers let loose in the fifth, adding the final four runs.

Osterhaus went 3-for-3 and also won the game in the circle in three innings, giving up three walks and striking out three. Steffen got the save with six Ks in the final three frames and went 1-for-2 at the plate, scoring three runs. Wulfekuhle and Kamryn Klas were both 1-for-3, with Wulfekuhle getting three RBIs and Klas one. Kaylee Ludwig walked to net an RBI.
