The year 2020 was very strange and startling for everyone, impacting the students and staff at Beckman Catholic High School in a variety of ways. While 2020 started off as usual, spring came with a surprise for many. In March, schools across the country were shut down due to corona virus.
Students and staff at Beckman were forced to face a very difficult change from in-person school days to virtual learning at home. Adapting to the challenges of teaching and learning from home became the norm. While 2020 will be remembered for many changes and difficulties, there was a silver lining for Beckman students.
As the 2020-2021 school year crept closer, students and staff began to anticipate and wonder what it would look like. This school year will be remembered as the year we adapted and still aimed to succeed. The football team fought for victory on the football field by making it to the state playoffs. Not to be left out, freshman Maria Kruse made it to state on behalf of the cross country team. Cheering on classmates to triumph has allowed Beckman students to reflect on the things that they are thankful for in a challenging year.
