Delaware County provides COVID-19 vaccine update

As of April 5, anyone 18 years of age and older is eligible to receive the Moderna or Johnson & Johnson COVID-19 vaccine. Anyone 16 years of age and older is eligible to receive the Pfizer vaccine.

With this transition and the anticipated increase of vaccine availability throughout the state of Iowa, Regional Medical Center, Regional Family Health and Delaware County Public Health discontinued their vaccine waiting lists as of April 1.

Health officials are requesting that the public watch local communication channels including radio, newspaper, social media and RMC’s website for future public COVID-19 vaccine clinics. All future COVID-19 vaccine appointments will be made online. If someone is aware of a person who does not have easy access to the Internet or may struggle with this method or have challenges with access and online navigation, direct them to one of the following agencies for assistance: Regional Family Health: 563-927-7777; Delaware County Public Health: 563-927-7551; or Regional Medical Center: 563-927-7600.
