Dollar Fresh will open in Dyersville Friday, July 24, in the former Shopko building. Owned by Hy-Vee, Inc., the store is one of six stores scheduled to open this summer in former Shopko locations.
According to a January press release by Hy-Vee, Inc, “Dollar Fresh locations are designed to offer customers in smaller communities a fresh, new product selection at low prices.”
According to District Store Director Paul Hoppman, customers will find a wide variety in the Dyersville store.
“We will have a mix of groceries, frozen foods, dairy, an expanded wine and spirits selection, along with general merchandise.”
He said the store will also offer pizza, hamburgers and a breakfast menu made fresh daily. Shoes, clothing and cosmetics are also available.
“This is different, a change from what customers are used to seeing from any other retailer. We think it will serve a lot of needs for folks in the community,” Hoppman said.
The hours of operation will be 7 a.m. to 9 p.m., seven days a week.
Hoppman said officials are excited to open the store. “Dyersville is a beautiful community. Who wouldn’t want to operate here?”
A ribbon-cutting ceremony is scheduled for 9:30 a.m. this Friday.
