George shares goal with students

Edgewood-Colesburg Elementary School art teacher, Karen George, stands with a poster she created for her students about her role in the upcoming Grand Opera House show, “Murder on the Orient Express.” The Agatha Christie play will run Oct. 4–6 and 11–13 in Dubuque. George will play the role of Helen Hubbard, a passenger on the train, when a grisly murder is discovered in the compartment next to her. George had the idea for the poster following a professional development presentation about helping students with personal goal setting. Teachers were asked to share with their students their own W. I. G. (Wildly Important Goal). George shared her experience of auditioning for the role.
