It’s time to make resolutions for the new year that you’ll work hard at, but eventually forget. While some might be better at keeping resolutions, many people struggle. Why is it hard to keep a resolution?

The issue may be that most resolutions have no time limit. When you don’t specify a dedicated completion time, you tend to forget to do that task. How long has it been since you cleaned out your junk drawer? Maybe a month, a few years, possibly over five years.

If there isn’t a deadline, then we’re likely to put off the task until we begin another new year and we make the same resolutions again. Humans are natural procrastinators after all. Let’s see if we can finish our resolutions this year.
