It has been a busy year for science research at Beckman Catholic. Students submitted video presentations and posters in virtual competitions at the completion of year-long research projects. The Eastern Iowa Science and Engineering Fair (EISEF) announced that three of nine finalists were from Beckman Catholic High School. Libby Knipper, Jasmyn Hoeger and Tyler Salrin interviewed with a large team of judges, via Zoom, Saturday, March 20.

Beckman student awards include: Senior Champion – Jasmyn Hoeger; Class I, Senior – Jasmyn Hoeger, Libby Knipper and Tyler Salrin; Class II, Junior Teams – Luke Wessel and Isaac Burlage; Class II, Senior – Joe Schneider; Honorable Mention, Senior – Addisyn Burlage, John Paul Grebner and Jake Hoefler; Participation Achievement Award: Fourth Year Student – Joe Schneider; American Meteorological Society: Outstanding Achievement – John Paul Grebner and Jake Hoefler; ASM Materials Education Foundation: Outstanding Exhibit in Materials Science – Joe Schneider; Association for Women Geoscientists: Outstanding Achievement – Ellie Recker; Inspiring Excellence: Alan B. Adams Meritorious Achievement – Gabrielle Hoeger and Evelyn Sadler; NASA Earth System Science Award: Outstanding Achievement – Madelyn Reiter; Ricoh Corporation: Ricoh Sustainable Development – Evelyn Sadler; US Navy and Marine Corps: Naval Science – Madelyn Reiter.
