Humans have always used storytelling to keep the past alive and teach lessons. Stories are a significant part of our history. You hear stories everywhere, even though you may not realize it. When you meet with friends, they will probably tell you about what happened to them since you were last together. When you get home, you might tell your family about what happened that day. While you may disregard these conversations, you’re unknowingly crafting a story.
We also use stories to tell tales of fantastical beasts, wicked societies and broken traditions. These can be fictional or true, but they attract our interest. We are naturally drawn to stories, so it’s no surprise that we are always surrounded by them.
