After competing in Sub-District Competition Feb. 23, Western Dubuque FFA advanced 16 of 18 members to District competition. The chapter competed in the Northeast District FFA competition in Independence March 13, where they were able to showcase their hard work. The chapter took several first place wins and elected one of their members to district office.

In individual contests, Vada Klinkhammer competed in Agriculture Sales, took first place gold and will advance to state competition in April. Josie Boyle placed first gold in Extemporaneous Speaking and will advance to state competition, and was additionally elected to the office of Southeast Sub-District Vice President of the Northeast District. Trenton Hammerand competed in Job Interview and received fourth place with a gold rating. In Prepared Public Speaking, Amanda Goedken received a silver rating.

The chapter had two teams compete at Districts. The Parliamentary Procedure team of Ryan Wolf, Grace Streif, Bella Sahm, Kayla Donovan and Carly Mausser took a silver rating. The Conduct of Meetings team took a silver rating, with members Olivia Thul, Sam Krapfl, Eli Harbaugh, Kyle Kraus, Kyla Higgins, Addie Kress, Isaiah Hammerand and and Eli Harbaugh. Ashley Auderer and Donovan Kaune represented the chapter as delegates for the business session of the convention. Members of the Western Dubuque FFA chapter are proud of their hard work and accomplishments and are excited for the upcoming State FFA convention in April.
