Katie Kukielka and Patrick Bell, of Chicago, Ill., were married on Aug. 22, 2015, at 1 p.m. at Our Lady of the Woods Parish, Orland Park, Ill. The Rev Mike Foley officiated at the ceremony. Vocalist was Susan Mangiano and organist was Neil Borgstrom.

Parents of the couple are Chester and Carol Kukielka, of Lemont, Ill., and Larry and Karen Bell, of Dyersville.

The bride was given in marriage by her father. She wore an A-line sequin dress with lace overlay and rhinestone belt.

Matrons of honor were Heidi Kolodziejczk and Christy Preissler, friends of the bride. Bridesmaids were Kim Northrup, Laura Nowak and Amanda Jakstas, friends of the bride; Colleen Humphrey, sister of the groom; Vickie Coleman, Kristi Gorski and Carrie Kukielka, sisters of the bride. The attendants wore full-length grey chiffon dresses.

They carried pink and white dahlias with daisies and carnations.

Flower girl was Juliet Humphrey, niece and godchild of the groom. Ring bear was Ryan Coleman, nephew of the bride.

Best man was Jeremy Phipps, friend of the groom. Groomsmen were Danny Ecker, Nick Spear, Lee Linderman, Alex White, Ben Salow, Nick Breitbach and Rob Mensen, friends of the groom; and Brian Bell, brother of the groom. Ushers were Max Fitzgerald and Nick Willenborg, friends of the groom.

A reception was held at Elements Conference & Banquet Center in Orland Park, Ill.

A wedding trip was spent in Southern France, Monaco and Barcelona, Spain.

The bride graduated from University of Illinois (Urbana-Champaign) with a Bachelor’s degree and University of Illinois (Chicago) with a Master’s degree. She is a civil engineer at AECOM. The groom graduated from Northwestern University. He is a mechanical engineer at Hill Mechanical Group.
