A Dec. 19 dual at home found Western Dubuque’s wrestling team winning easily over Cedar Rapids Washington, 60-21.

The meet opened with a fall at 106 by Jagger McCool over Nathaniel Valez (3:42). Bobcat Tanner Gaul gave up a fall at 113 to knot the match, but Ben Schueller got them back in the lead at 120 with a fall over Tayler Didier (5:11). Washington took its first lead of the match with a fall at 126 and forfeit at 132, 18-12.

At 138, Jared Cordes pinned Lukas Engledow (:50) before Trayton Kurimski dropped a 7-1 decision to Perry Lindeman, 21-18. Levi Burds put the Bobcats back in the lead with a quick fall at 152 over Malik Robinson (:49). Tony Lyon drew a forfeit and Carter Kluesner continued the win streak with a fall over Romen Young (:55). Jake Hosch earned a fall over Michael Holderness (:41), as did Sawyer Nauman at 195 over Tyler Hansen (1:57), Joe Loffa at 220 over Cam’Ron Ewells (1:31) and Jonathan Savolt at 285 over Tate Sykora-Matthess (1:35).
