Maquoketa Valley suffered a heartbreaking 3-0 loss to Cascade in the quarterfinals of the Class 2A Regional Volleyball Tournament, Oct. 28 on the road.

Cascade swept the match, 25-19, 25-23, 25-14. The Wildcats ended the season at 14-15, winning nine of their last 12 matches.

The first game was close throughout, but Cascade pulled away for the win. In the second game, MV showed its toughness and perseverance and the game went back and forth until game point went to Cascade.

In the deciding game, Cascade pulled away to secure the victory.
