Wahlert’s girls made it five straight city swimming titles with their win Oct. 22, copping both JV and varsity titles.

Beckman’s Kelly Snyder will move on to Regional competition Nov. 7 with her first place finish in the 100 Breatstroke. Jesse Then will be an alternate for the regional team.

Team scores for the meet include Wahlert 133, Senior 106 and Hempstead 84. The JV tallies were Wahlert 152, Senior 89 and Hempstead 69.

In the JV 200 medley, Snyder swam second and Then third to help capture first place, a feat they repeated in the JV 200 Free relay. In the 100 breast, Snyder was first, Then second. Snyder took second in the 200 individual medley and Then was third in the 100 Fly.

Coach Emily Snyder added, “Both Kelly and Jesse tapered and rested for this meet and both had four lifetime best swims.”
