Bowling at their home lanes, Cobra Lanes in Farley, Dec. 17, the Western Dubuque’s girls’ bowling team dropped a tight 2,631-2,598 decision to the Cedar Falls Tigers.

In the regular round, the Bobcats trailed 1,771 to 1,805 and couldn’t quite get it all back in the baker round.

Ceci Daley paced the team with 411 (189,222) and Brooklyn Neyen hit 400 (155,245). Shelby Rice followed with 334 (168, 166), Baylee Neyen hit 318 (185,135) and Addie Kress added 308 (173,135). Kirsten Butcher did not count with 288 (127,161).

Cedar Falls’ high bowler was Maya Brinker with 419 (196, 223). They added a 360 from Maggie Goodwin, 356 from Katie Waltz, 343 from Anna Frahm and 327 from Hailey Taylor.

In the baker round, the Bobcats rolled totals of 140, 207, 183, 153, and 144 for 827. The Tigers came with 209, 137, 157, 156 and 167 for 826.
