Bobcats fall short in opener

The Western Dubuque boys’ soccer team had a rough season opener, losing 10-0 at North Scott, April 1.

North Scott (1-0) wasted little time jumping all over the Bobcats exposing their lack of experience as the Lancers scored all 10 of their goals in the first half of their non-conference contest.

The Bobcats (0-1) did come up with eight saves in the game.

This was the third straight season the two teams have faced each other in their season opener.

The Bobcats have lost all three contests dropping a tough 1-0 loss in 2019 and were beaten 4-1 in 2018.
